Shark Pro Steam Pocket Mop Reviews: How Does It Stack Up?
Last Updated on
As a steam mop, the Shark Pro Steam Pocket Mop has a lot that makes it stand out above the competition. From the long cord that allows you to move much more freely without plugging and unplugging it to large water reservoir, everything seems to line up to crown it as the best steam mop.
The biggest pitfall, which is actually shared with other Shark appliances, is that it feels a bit flimsy. Even the manufacturer seems to confirm this weakness by offering spare parts. In this article we’re going to review this Shark model in detail, so stick around!Click Here To See The Current Price
The Shark Pro Steam Pocket Mop At A Glance
What We Like
- Long cord
- Large water tank
- Completely pivoting head
- Switching to other head is a snap (triangular and rectangular head)
- Doesn’t make floor streaky
What We Don’t Like
- Handle feels flimsy
Sure, there is a chance that it’s just a matter of defective unit which is common in all steam mop models. But we’ve heard from a lot of people who have the same trouble. Shark really should address this.
They even now provide spare parts for users instead of improving the build quality of their appliances. So, if you really want to enjoy all the convenience it offers, we’d suggest that you use it carefully. That includes your treatment before and after use.Click Here To See The Current Price
The head can pivot swiftly and it makes it nice to use. Especially when you have a lot of furniture. Unlike other steam mops, the head of this unit is totally covered by the washable cleaning pads.
You can use both sides of the pads to mop your floor and the best thing is that you don’t need to take off the pad and then attach it again because the head can easily flip. There are two different heads that you can assemble and disassemble easily.
The triangular head works great against persistent dirt along the edges and narrow angles. The cord is 30 feet and that’s the longest cord we’ve ever seen on an steam mop.
After pumping to create the initial burst, the steam is released when you push it forward. It’s not so hot that it can damage your hardwood or laminate floor but it’s hot enough to kill the germs without using chemicals.
The floor does get wet after mopping but it dries out very quickly, so we’re not too bothered with that. More importantly, it doesn’t leave nasty blotches on your floor. Overall, it’s quite satisfying in the performance category.
Time To Make Your Decision
It’s a bit hard to figure out what to write in this final section. We love the convenient features it offers and satisfactory performance it shows us and we’re sure you’d like to have it too. It performs better than the Bissell Hard-Floor Cleaner in our opinion, but isn’t as nicely constructed.
We’re giving 4 out of 5 stars in spite of that. As it really does work great. But if you do purchase the Shark Professional Steam Pocket Mop, make sure you don’t go too rough with it!Click Here To See The Current Price
